Febantel (15.0 mg per ml): Works synergistically with pyrantel to enhance activity against whipworms. Common Uses This oral suspension is used for the effective treatment and control of several types of intestinal nematode infections in puppies, including: Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala) Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) Dosage and Administration Dosage: The standard dose is 1 ml per 1 kg of body weight. Administration: It can be administered directly into the mouth or mixed with a small amount of food. Fasting is not required before or after dosing. Puppy Schedule: Typically started at 2 weeks of age, and repeated at 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age. Afterward, deworming is usually recommended once monthly until 6 months of age. Important Precautions Dogs Only: This formulation is for oral use in dogs and puppies; it should not be used in cats.
